This project included an approximately 36,425 square foot one story animal shelter, including a courtyard and off site roadway improvements, as well as associated infrastructure improvements both on site and off site. The structure was founded on concrete footings and slab on grade with some structural masonry and steel frames.
CHJ performed the grading observation, compaction testing, materials testing, and special inspection for the animal shelter in Wildomar, California. During grading activities numerous underground structures and debris were uncovered. CHJ worked closely with the entire project team to provide additional recommendations for the unusually deep removals not addressed in the original geotechnical report. CHJ was able to keep the project moving forward while working within the established structural design parameters.
